About the WCAHN

Mission Statement:
The Wyoming Critical Access Hospital Network is a collaborative support system that strengthens member hospitals in order to sustain access to quality healthcare services.

The Role of the WCAHN:
The WCAHN contributes to the success of rural healthcare in Wyoming by delivering on three essential categories of services: advocacy, education, and communication.  As a result, the WCAHN organizes professional peer groups, assists with grant proposals, coordinates educational offerings, participates in quality improvement initiatives, and assists with information sharing bewteen member hospitals.

WCAHN Structure:
The WCAHN is an affiliate of the Wyoming Hospital Association and operates in partnership with the Wyoming Office of Rural Health.  The WCAHN is funding by the federal Office of Rural Health Policy and is made up of 16 member facilities that have been designated as critical access hospitals.  The WCAHN Board of Directors is comprised of CEOs from member hospitals and is currently chaired by Rick Schroeder, CEO of North Big Horn Hospital in Lovell, Wyo.
